This taught me a valuable lesson that greatness in product creation doesn't hinge on team size, but rather on the dedication, skills, and collaboration of its members.

Building the Foundation

After successfully aligning Storybook with Figma, I undertook the development of a more intricate system, crafting a new design system architecture.

The revamped system was specifically tailored to cater to the needs of the White-label App, utilizing the innovative "variables" feature introduced in Figma.

The initial blueprint for our new design system architecture was meticulously crafted in Whimsical.

Through collaborative discussions and iterations, we reached a consensus on the optimal design system structure to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Utilizing our existing variable color system as a foundation, I implemented the same system within Figma. This approach proved to be significantly faster than using tokens and seamlessly integrated with our current development process, resulting in time savings.

We developed three themes: light, dark, and brand, allowing us to quickly adapt to client requirements.

We laid a solid foundation for initiating Austria's OBB Rail and Drive project. For the OBB workflow, the lead designer led the UX efforts, working closely with stakeholders on wireframes.
